Stainless steel 316 is also known as Marine Grade stainless steel. This premium metal is an alloy created by the combination of low carbon steel, chromium, and molybdenum to supercharge for maximum corrosion resistance. It is the recognized choice of professionals for extreme environmental conditions.

Stainless steel 316 is so resistant to corrosion that it is the preferred metal used in marine industry, medical field and hazardous material preparation. The bottom line is when used in products that are exposed to extreme moisture conditions, household cleaners and abrasive agents it provides the longest life span. There is no place in a home more effected by all these conditions than the shower.

All QM Drain products meet code approval in the United States and Canada per ASME Standard ASME A 112.18.2-2011/ CSA B 125.2-11.  Our products were tested in CSA’s laboratory to meet the above standards. Additionally, these standards are recognized in the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) for Plumbing Waste Fittings.

QM drain also meets code approval in the state of Massachusetts and with the Los Angeles Department Of Building and Safety, recognizing a CSA certificate in place of a LARR number.
