Bathrooms tend to be one of the busiest spots in your house, and it’s also the place almost every guest visits.

Follow these 7 simple tricks guaranteed to deep clean your bathroom and get your bathroom sparkling!

How To Deep Clean Your Bathroom in 7 Easy Steps

  1. Pristine Showerheads & Glass Shower Doors
White vinegar is the secret ingredient to clean and unclog your showerhead, just pour enough to fully submerge your showerhead in a plastic bag and leave it for an overnight soak; in the morning, simply remove it and rinse it with water. White vinegar works very good also for cleaning shower doors; just mix distilled white vinegar and baking soda to make a paste and apply it to the door (it will stick). Let it sit for an hour and then just simply rub it with a microfiber cloth and rinse it with lots of water.
  2. White Tubs
For a clean tub fill it with hot water, let it sit for 2 minutes and open the drain. Then apply a bathroom cleaner and let it sit for 15 minutes before scrubbing and rinsing it away.
  3. Shower Curtains
For clean plastic shower curtains and liners give them a spin in the washing machine using your regular detergent and a few old towels that act as scrubbers to help get rid of soap scum and mildew.
  4. White Toilet
Pour a cup of baking soda into the bowl, let it sit for a few minutes and then brush and flush. If you still see spots use a damp pumice stone; it’s abrasive enough to remove stains caused by mineral deposits but gentle enough not to damage the surface.
  5. Clean Sink
Again, white vinegar to the rescue! Pour white vinegar (or baking soda) down the drain and flush with hot water. For the faucet, we recommend you use disposable disinfecting wipes which significantly help reduce bacteria.
  6. Tiles, Walls & Ceiling
For a whole clean environment, it’s essential you don’t forget to clean these! First, spray the tiles with an all-purpose cleaner and then give your whole bathroom a steam clean. Turn on the shower, cranking the hot water until steam builds (about five minutes). Turn off the water, shut the door on your way out, and let the steam and the cleaner mix for 20 minutes. Then wipe down all surfaces with a clean cloth. To reach high spots, use a clean, dry microfiber mop. Wipe the tile floor, too, but only after you’ve finished the rest of the dirty work.
  7. Hand Towels
Use the sanitizing setting if your washing machine has one (or bleach them). Replace with clean towels every three to four days. Don’t forget to clean the towel bar; it too collects bacteria. And avoid hanging wet towels near the toilet.
